Art and activism workshop

 

Students art work from workshopLast week I ran two workshops for students across courses at Kings College in London. Cultural Kings exists to highlight the community across Kings, working in partnership to enhance education, research and to serve the cultural sector. Across the two days I spent with the teams we explored activism in art and visual advertising. Then students a piece of artwork on canvas using simple collage, paint and drawing materials about an issue they felt strongly about. The results of their work spanned from immigration, homelessness & free speech to sexual identity, the environment and political topics.
