I have been part of Music for the Senses by hand painting one of the 48 guitars on show and a huge inked window display. Each artist was invited to customise a guitar, many of which have been signed or donated by well-known musicians. Now they will all be on display together in one place at the art exhibition at People’s History Museum on Sept 6th and 7th.
In addition to the trail and exhibition, there’s also an Art Fair, where you can browse and buy art, crafts, and gifts created by the artists involved. I’ll be showcasing some of my own work there, alongside official Music for the Senses merchandise.
This is a collaboration between Wild in Art and Manchester City Council, and it’s all for a great cause – raising funds for grassroots music venues and community music projects across Manchester through a final auction of the guitars.
